The NTU Sustainability Office was established in 2021 as part of NTU’s sustainability manifesto to coordinate and drive sustainability efforts in education, research, community engagement and smart campus initiatives. The sustainability manifesto was created to propel NTU’s sustainability efforts over the next 15 years and solidify its reputation as one of the global leaders in sustainability. As part of the sustainability manifesto, NTU aims to achieve carbon neutrality by 2035, achieve 100% green mark platinum certification for all eligible buildings on the main NTU campus and reduce 50% of NTU’s net energy, water and waste generation by 2026 as compared to 2011 baseline levels.
