IEEE-Eta Kappa Nu (IEEE-HKN) is the honor society of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the world's largest technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity. IEEE-HKN was founded in 1904 to recognize and encourage excellence in the electrical and electronics engineering profession. Today, IEEE-HKN has over 265 chapters in 29 countries around the world. In India, IEEE-HKN has over 4 chapters at some of the most prestigious engineering colleges. The Nu Eta Chapter of Sri Sai Ram Engineering College chapter was founded in 29.09.2023 and is one of the newest chapters in the country. However, the chapter has already made a significant impact on the college community and is poised to become a leading IEEE-HKN chapter in India. The Sri Sai Ram Engineering College IEEE-HKN chapter has chosen the name Nu Eta, which stands for "new age." This name reflects the chapter's commitment to innovation and its focus on preparing its members for the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century. The Sri Sai Ram Engineering College IEEE-HKN chapter was founded under the vision of Dr. Sai Prakash Leo Muthu, Chairman & CEO, Sairam Group of Institutions a professional member of IEEE-HKN. Chairman Sai Prakash Leo Muthu is a highly respected leader in the Indian engineering community, and his vision for the Sri Sai Ram Engineering College IEEE-HKN chapter is to create a chapter that is truly world-class. The faculty advisor for the Sri Sai Ram Engineering College IEEE-HKN chapter is Dr.Soma Prathibha, Professor, Department of Information Technology, Sri Sai Ram Engineering College.
