Nu Lambda Sigma Alumnae Chapter

Welcome to the West African Poodles, chartered on December 12, 2021, in Accra, Ghana, marking our distinction as the first alumnae chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho in Africa. As proud torchbearers of Sigma Gamma Rho's legacy in scholarship, sisterhood, and service, our mission centers on advancing women and girls in education and economic empowerment. Actively driving positive change across the continent, our programs include initiatives such as the Menstrual Health and Hygiene Initiative, Operation Big Book Bag, Project CRADLE Care/Postpartum Medical Detention Debt Relief, Swim 1922, The Borehole Initiative, The Toilet (WASH) Facility Initiative, Women's Wellness Initiative, and Youth Symposium.
