Nazarbayev University SPE Student Chapter (NU SPE SC) was established in 2013 by a group of enthusiastic students with a purpose to spread useful technical knowledge to the NU Community and to strengthen bonds between the students and professionals from the Oil and Gas Industry.
Today, in 2018, NU SPE SC aims to gather with other SPE chapters globally and to bring new ideas, solutions and innovations to the Oil and Gas Industry together. Throughout our 4-year experience we have been awarded with the Gold Standard (2017) and Outstanding Student Chapter (2015) Awards from SPE International. Moreover, in cooperation with NU ACM Student Chapter, we have developed and launched the SPE ON mobile application on iOS (2016), which keeps the users updated with all the upcoming events and competitions organized by NU SPE SC.
NU SPE SC has become a place, where students can examine their problem-solving skills and ability to work in team by participating in the intellectual competitions organized by the chapter. In addition to the events aimed to developing the proficiency of the students, we support other student communities by organizing charity and sport events and by hosting speakers, who can inspire and who can motivate all of the participants to learn and prosper.
