The interdisciplinary team of Nucleus Jena drives the knowledge and technology transfer between academia, industry, and society.
Nucleus Jena, a joint project of Friedrich Schiller University Jena and Ernst Abbe University of Applied Sciences Jena, expands the service centers for research and transfer. The two universities collaborate to develop Jena into a leading region for transfer and innovation in Germany and establish it as a model region for similarly structured economic areas.
The focus of our project lies in the knowledge and technology transfer from and into the universities. We act as an interface for scientists and entrepreneurs, connecting them with the universities and research-oriented networks, supporting project initiatives, and coordinating various types of events. Additionally, we aim to make research results and topics accessible to society.
With a focus on regional development, sustainability, and considering broad societal perspectives, new cooperation and multidirectional transfer formats are being developed. Nucleus Jena specifically addresses future topics with societal relevance and high impact. Therefore, particularly application-oriented solutions are developed within Nucleus Jena and made socially tangible and usable through living labs, demonstrators, and other participatory formats.
