About NuePath International Recovery Network (NIRN)
NuePath International Recovery Network (NIRN) is a not-for-profit entity and a Global Recovery Network dedicated to addressing Drug and Substance Abuse while promoting Community Recovery from Addiction and its associated effects, such as Mental Health complications and Social Disconnection. Our Mission To create a supportive community that empowers individuals and institutions to combat the challenges of addiction through education, advocacy, and collaboration. At NuePath, we focus on strengthening institutions such as universities, schools, and community organizations, fostering Resilience and Recovery. By enhancing the capabilities of these entities, we are not only driving progress toward the UNSDG 3 Target 5 — which emphasizes the prevention and treatment of substance abuse and mental health promotion — but also contributing to SDG 11, which advocates for sustainable cities and communities. Our Approach We ensure that Recovery initiatives are integrated into the fabric of Local, Regional and International communities, creating environments conducive to healing and well-being. Aligned with the Zimbabwe Multisectoral Drug and Substance Abuse Plan (2024-2030), our initiatives are designed to reinforce national and international strategies aimed at reducing drug abuse and enhancing mental health support. We implement evidence-based practices that resonate with local needs and global standards, ensuring that our efforts are impactful and relevant. Furthermore, our multi-sectoral approach embodies SDG 17, which emphasizes the importance of Partnerships for the Goals. By fostering collaborations across diverse communities and sectors, we leverage collective strengths and resources to achieve meaningful outcomes. Our commitment to inclusivity enriches our programs and enhances our ability to address addiction and mental health challenges from multiple perspectives. #NewPath toward Community Recovery, Resilience, and Sustainability.
