NUJS Legal Aid Society

The Legal Aid Society [‘NUJS-LAS’] of the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata is an autonomous student-run body whose main objective is to provide preemptive legal aid by promoting awareness about the law through legal education and counseling. Our aim is to use our unique legal know-how to contribute to the goal of social justice by inducting students to use their theoretical knowledge of law in the practical world to provide free legal aid to the ones most in need of it through preventive, remedial, activist and reformative functions. The NUJS-LAS has a long history of success in the various activities we undertake. We are constantly looking to expand the scope of our project and inculcate an atmosphere of inclusiveness both within and without the college.
