NUML-Professional Development Centre

The Office of Research and Strategic Initiatives (R&SI) at National University of Modern Languages (NUML) launched the Professional Development Centre (PDC) in June 2015 – a platform to enhance thinking ability and develop analytical skills for effective communication and decision making. Trainings and workshops are launched for academicians and students to increase their knowledge and induce critical thinking skills and offer industry-specific programs for consultants and managers to enable them to apply tools and techniques in their jobs/assignments. PDC-NUML offers capacity building programs in two dimensions, internal and external. Internally, the Center strengthens faculty, staff and students of NUML through training programs. Another dimension from which PDC executes its plan is external; the center offers development programs for SMEs, development, public and corporate sectors. PDC opts a wide range of tactics for capacity building like Training Need Assessments (TNA), Training Design, Customized Training, Training Assessments, Apprenticeship, Mentorship, Counseling and Coaching, formal education, capacity building projects and networking.
