Nuova Solmine is the top producer in Italy with around 550,000 tons/year of sulphuric acid and around 110,000 tons/year of oleum, operating plants in Scarlino (Grosseto) and Serravalle Scrivia (Alessandria).
The company also produces around 1m m3/year of demineralized water, 200,000 tons/year of steam and 90m kWh of electricity.
It distributes sulphuric acid and oleum in Italy and abroad, directly or through distributors and traders. It also buys sulphuric acid for its own market from both domestic and foreign producers, depending on the needs of customers and the moment, with a total average product availability of around 1m tons/year.
