NURTURE is a women-led non-profit organization dedicated to empowering deprived communities, with a special focus on women and girls. Since 2007, and formally registered in 2011 under the Indian Trust Act, NURTURE has been working across rural and tribal geographies to advance gender justice, inclusive education, sustainable livelihoods, water and sanitation, child rights, early childhood education, health, natural resource management, youth skill development, and sports for development. Guided by its vision of a just, equitable, and empowered society, and its mission to vitalize the “potential and power of people” excluded by systemic barriers, NURTURE adopts community-led and rights-based approaches to social transformation.
Its interventions directly contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions).
