NutricLab is a multidisciplinary research TEAM established in 2018 at the Laboratory of “Hygiene, Social & Preventive Medicine and Medical Statistics”, which is one of the oldest Laboratories of the School of Medicine at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
NutricLab consists of enthusiastic and dedicated pre- and postgraduate students, as well as of health care professionals from various disciplines, countries and backgrounds, all of whom are committed into building on their strengths in the areas of clinical nutrition, health promotion, research methodology, science-based information and practice, and professional development.
Our team's mission is to:
- Develop and extend knowledge of nutrition through fundamental, multidisciplinary, and clinical research
- Facilitate contact among investigators in nutrition, medicine and related fields of interest
- Support the dissemination and application of nutrition science to improve public health and clinical practice in Greece
- Promote graduate education and the training of health professionals
- Advocate for nutrition research and its application to development and implementation of policies and practices related to medical nutrition.
