NUWAY Alliance is a nonprofit organization with a mission to provide leadership, innovation, and recovery access. It provides overarching leadership and management to behavioral health organizations that provide addiction treatment for adults of any gender (NUWAY®, Cochran Recovery Services, The Gables; and Arrigoni Housing Support with Supplemental Services, recovery-focused Housing Support for men.
NUWAY Alliance was born from a long-standing history embedded in the heart of the Minneapolis recovery community through NUWAY® (House), which was founded as a nonprofit in 1966 as one of the first halfway houses in Minnesota and the U.S.
NUWAY®'s grassroots beginnings stemmed from members of the 2218 Alano Society of Minneapolis in response to individuals leaving treatment in the 1960's housing insecure. 2218 members believed extended time in a safe, sober environment based in the community would help individuals establish long-term recovery from addiction.
