NVTZ Overview

De Nederlandse Vereniging van Toezichthouders in Zorg en Welzijn (NVTZ) is een onafhankelijke, kritische vereniging die staat voor verantwoordelijk toezicht in zorg- en welzijnsinstellingen. Met en voor meer dan 4000 leden werken we aan professionalisering en ondersteuning van het toezichthoudende vak. We vertegenwoordigen toezichthouders bij beleidsmakers, bij zorgorganisaties en naar de samenleving. Ook zijn we een wetenschappelijke vereniging die het vakgebied van governance in zorg en welzijn volgt en ontwikkelt. We voeren onderzoek uit, ontwikkelen publicaties en nemen het voortouw in discussies over governance en modern toezichthouderschap. Waar nodig neemt de NVTZ standpunten in over de beloning van bestuurders en toezichthouders, gedragsregels & een moreel kompas, transparant functioneren en het afleggen van maatschappelijke verantwoording. NVTZ zoekt actief samenwerking en afstemming met alle relevante spelers in het veld van zorg en welzijn.
