The Tribal Technical Assistance Program (TTAP) is a subset of the FHWA Local Aid Support program and provides resources for Tribal communities throughout the country. The NW TTAP Center provides comprehensive transportation training, technical assistance, and technology transfer assistance to tribal communities in the Pacific Northwest. This region includes forty-five (45) tribes throughout WA, OR, ID, and portions of northern UT, western MT, and southern AK. The NW TTAP Center will focus on building skills and expertise to ensure the safety and maintenance of tribal roads in the region. The TTAP is a discretionary program that is 100 percent federally funded – meaning participating tribal communities do not need to provide a match in order to receive benefits from the TTAP Centers. The NW TTAP Center is the go-to resource for Tribal transportation needs in BIA Region 6. If you are a Tribal transportation professional, feel free to reach out to the staff of the NW TTAP Center with any questions or to express needs as it relates to federal funding, training, technology transfer, and technical assistance needs for transportation issues in your community.
