Being a top general contractor for luxury residences in Manhattan requires many skills from creative vision to knowledge of all aspects of New York City Construction and local building codes. But the most important thing about what I do has little to do with the technical aspects of construction and everything to do with the people. In order to gain a sense of what really matters to the home owner, I invest a great deal of time learning about their values as well as what they find to be important in a living arrangement. I find that this understanding also enables me to quickly resolve any issues that arise during the construction process in accordance with the owner’s preferences. I take a hands-on approach, attending weekly meetings with the owner and the architect. Very few general contractors take the time to be present onsite in such a capacity. Much of our success is attributed to our longstanding relationships with top professionals in areas such as architecture, design, demolition, framing, masonry, plumbing, dry wall, electrical, carpentry, and woodwork. Together we work collaboratively to resolve any problems that arise without requiring intervention from the project owner. This makes the project run more smoothly and ensures that it will be completed on time.
