NY UAS Test Site

The NY UAS Test Site, owned and operated by Oneida County, is one of seven FAA designated UAS test sites. It is the only test site at a towered airport, surrounded by Class D airspace with an FAA Certificate of Authorization with the ability to execute simultaneous manned and unmanned operations. SkyDome is the largest, indoor/outdoor instrumented UAS, Internet of Things (IoT) and Cyber Physical System (CPS) experimentation facility in the country that supports year-round development and test of advanced technologies including Radio Frequency spectrum for command and control, counter UAS, detect and avoid, vehicle to vehicle to communications, mobile networking, and autonomous swarms. SkyDome is adjacent to the NY UAS Test Site Operations Center.
