Nyah Project clears the pathway to college for underrepresented students by providing training and tech based tools that remove the practical and systemic barriers to higher education. We believe access to higher education for underrepresented youth, particularly with scholarships, not only increases socio-economic mobility, but fundamentally changes the trajectory of their lives. To that end, we aim to support 100,000 students through their college admissions journey and unlock more than $1 billion in scholarships. Our multi-prong approach includes: - Improving college admissions outcomes through: (1) Access Online, our education technology platform providing on-demand college admission coaching for individual students and (2) our CAP Community which supports college access practitioners (CAP) at affiliate organizations (school districts, colleges, and corporate or community youth support programs). - Increasing college applicant competitiveness through LEAD, our 3-part leadership training series for certification in our experiential leadership model. - Increasing college acceptance and scholarship success rates through our signature Global Youth Leadership Fellowship, a 14-month experiential leadership development and college coaching program consisting of a two-week international component in Africa or Asia, a domestic leadership retreat, mentorship matching, and individualized college admissions support. Our culturally relevant strategies and methods were specifically designed for underrepresented students and have been proven effective to get them into college, win scholarships, and develop necessary skills to lead. Since 2014, we have helped students win over $30 million in scholarships, with the median award of $100,000. Moreover, those in our fellowship program boast a 100% college matriculation rate with 98% winning scholarships.
