a community of care for those looking to engage with the professional worlds of fashion and design: DesignCULT (short for culture) began in 2019 as a social media experiment that drew in followers who soon thereafter morphed it into an artist's collective, which later transitioned into a fashion marketing and PR firm. We've now passed this legacy on to the student members of our signature creation - the Academic Fraternity for Lifestyle Design and Social Activism (AFLDSA). Now, we act as the Department of Public Relations for the AFLDSA maintaining a national office that supports societal activities: -Collaborate with colleagues to implement policies and develop improvements. -Cross functional meetings with professional/student officers to decide on organizational strategies. -Act as the point of contact between members/followers and the executive leadership team. -Analyze our positioning and distill insights. -Evaluate and motivate chapter performance and individual student member performances. -Respond promptly to student inquiries and those from internal/external stakeholders. -Coordinate and inform on PR initiatives including recruitment activities and social media events. -Develop student, academic, and professional relationships as an integral part of the team. -Assist with communication strategies and campaigns to enhance brand visibility. -Social media monitoring and tracking. -Working knowledge of current fashion trends.
