At Montefiore Einstein, we serve one of the most diverse populations in the nation, and we are committed to reducing health disparities, making genomics and high-quality care accessible to all individuals with rare conditions, improving diagnostic rates and developing strategies to enhance communication of genomic information while helping to inform best practices for implementing genomic medicine in diverse populations. We spearhead numerous initiatives and research projects, funded in part by the National Institutes of Health, and we are committed to ensuring that a diverse population of patients is represented in our clinical trials. We have also partnered with GeneDx, PacBio and the Genomics team in Google Research to help identify the genetic causes and best treatments for rare diseases that have eluded diagnosis in diverse communities.
