New York Italian Women nasce come gruppo privato su Facebook. Non è un movimento politico, né è una congregazione religiosa né tantomeno vuole promuovere la diffusione della cultura italiana all'estero.
Scopo del gruppo è invece quello di favorire il networking, le collaborazioni lavorative e la nascita di nuove amicizie fra le partecipanti.

The mission of the group is to promote networking, collaboration and the creation of new friendships among its participants.
