NYOTA (National Youth Opportunities Towards Advancement) Project

NYOTA (National Youth Opportunities Towards Advancement), an expansion of KYEOP project, targets vulnerable youth with form four and below level of education aged 18-29 and 35 years for PWD, who are unemployed, underemployed, or in low-tier employment with very low earnings. The target group will include Kenyan nationals in all counties as well as refugees and host community youth in the counties of Garissa, Turkana, and Wajir. The project aims to improve employment outcomes and savings opportunities for targeted youth. The NYOTA project will expand activities across all counties in a phased manner until all 47 counties of Kenya are reached. The project is funded by the World Bank and implemented by the State Department for Youth Affairs and Creative Economy in partnership with the National Industrial Training Authority (NITA), Micro and Small Enterprise Authority (MSEA), State Department of Labour and Skills Development, National Employment Authority (NEA) and the National Social Security Fund (NSSF).
