New Zealand Society for Engineering Safety

NZSSE's purpose is to introduce engineering principles and methodology to the health and safety process, and to introduce health and safety to the engineering process. The society has three main goals: - To foster safety best practice throughout the engineering profession, and to help engineers share expertise and experience in safety-critical functions. - To represent the engineering profession with bodies such as WorkSafe New Zealand and the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment, to give the profession a voice in the development of regulations and practice guidance which affect engineers. - To provide a contact point for regulators and policy developers when technical expertise is needed to support their work.
