O'Callaghan Insurances is a family run, Leinster based full service brokerage firm offering insurance solutions for Commercial and Personal Clients. It was founded in 1949 by Leo O'Callaghan Snr and is run today by Caeva O'Callaghan MBA BSc and her Management Team including John Daly FCCA, Ciaran Mahon ACII MBA.
O'Callaghan Insurances employs over 50 professionals between its three offices in Dundalk, Navan and Monaghan. Our clients range in size from large pharmaceutical and manufacturing organisations to religious orders, agri-businesses and farms, offices and retail outlets.
Our Corporate Customer teams work closely with clients throughout the insurance programme, understanding and anticipating requirements from placing cover to settling claims. This intensive level of personal service is based upon our commitment to a high standard of technical advice and a consistent swift response to clients' requirements.
We also operate a highly successful personal lines insurance business selling personal insurance products (such as car insurance, home insurance, holiday home insurance, van insurance) over a variety of platforms and using different trading names.
O'Callaghan Insurances have recently started a new Wholesale Division. This new division is headed up by Karl Styles, formerly of Aviva Insurance and Kidd Insurance.
The Wholesale Division has a binder with an ”A” rated Insurer with two products – vacant risks of all types – houses, shops, warehouses. The Property Owners binder allows us to quote, bind cover and issue documents for 258 trades. In addition we can cover houses for Limited Companies or Pension Trusts. Properties let to HAPS, Students, Air B&B, Asylum seekers can be accommodated.
For risks higher than our binder limit of €6m we have a facility with The Underwriting Exchange which has come in useful.
