MUNDU betyder verden – og det er kort og godt, hvad der optager os: Vores fælles verden med alle dens muligheder og udfordringer. Verdensborgerskab fordrer global dannelse. Det arbejder vi for at skabe i MUNDU. – Danmarks eneste organisation med global undervisning som hovedformål.
Vores primære målgruppe er børn og unge i grundskolen og på ungdomsuddannelserne og deres lærere. Vores speciale er nemlig at levere konkrete redskaber til at inddrage globale perspektiver i undervisningen. Men vi henvender os også til den brede offentlighed, fx via interkulturelle aktiviteter.
MUNDU blev oprettet i 1990 under navnet Oplysningscenter om den 3. verden (O3V). I 2014 skiftede vi navn til MUNDU – center for global dannelse. Vi har base i U-huset i Aarhus, men betjener skoler i hele landet og indgår i et bredt netværk af danske og europæiske fagpersoner og -organisationer.

MUNDU translates to world – and it is, quite simply, what concerns us: Our shared world with all its opportunities and challenges. World citizenship requires global formation. In MUNDU, that is what we are working to promote. MUNDU is Denmark’s only organization with global education as its primary objective.
Our primary audience is children and young people in primary, secondary and tertiary schools and their teachers. Our specialty is to provide concrete tools for educators to integrate global perspectives in their teaching. But we also cater to the general public, for example through intercultural activities.
MUNDU was established in 1990 under the name Information Center on the third world. In 2014 we changed our name to MUNDU – center for global education. We are based in Aarhus, but serve schools throughout the country and take part ind a wide network of Danish and European professionals and organisations.
