The Oaks Academy

The Oaks Academy is a Christian, classically-minded, college prep school for 9th through 12th graders. We are dedicated to three essentials: (1) We are rooted in the Scriptures. We believe that the pursuit of education is the pursuit of Christ “in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge” (Col. 2:3). (2) We are rooted in the Classics. We are not blown about by the winds of progress or innovation. We read great books, build habits, and chase after virtue together. (3) We are rooted in Western PA. The Oaks is not a transplant or a franchise of another institution. It is a unique education grown from the soil of Washington, PA. We are utterly devoted to the local classroom—where learning requires godly, present teachers seeking to form students “that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he may be glorified.”
