Oasis Communities for Aging Well is a community-based, member-driven program that supports older adults living independently in their own homes. Centered in Naturally Occurring Retirement Communities (NORCs), Oasis helps older adults stay healthy, connected, and engaged—right where they live. At the heart of Oasis is a commitment to self-determination and community. Programs are shaped by the voices and choices of members, ensuring they reflect the needs, interests, and aspirations of older adults. By addressing key social determinants of health—such as social isolation, nutrition, physical activity, and a sense of purpose—Oasis supports healthy aging at home. Through a wide range of activities—including fitness classes, shared meals, guest speakers, and social outings—Oasis fosters meaningful connections, lifelong learning, and a strong sense of belonging. Members support one another while building vibrant, inclusive communities. Oasis also thrives through strong partnerships with public, non-profit, and private sector organizations, working together to enhance quality of life for older adults. This collaborative model promotes wellness, independence, and a supportive environment for aging well.
