Oasis School For Autism is the only state of the art educational facility in Pakistan that employs SCERTS framework as a substitute for the traditional ABA model.
Our staff has been receiving regular SCERTS trainings by the founding members of SCERTS program.
SCERTS uses practices from other approaches including ABA (in the form of PRT), TEACCH, circle time, and RDI. The SCERTS Model differs most notably from the focus of "traditional" ABA, by promoting child-initiated communication in everyday activities.
Oasis School for Autism is also working in collaboration with Five Acre Wood School, in Kent, UK, to develop and implement a range of curriculums to ensure effective learning according to the student's needs and parents' aspirations. Additional professionals are available for therapy- based services.
A routine working day for a student involves:
Academic tutelage
Speech therapy sessions
Sensory/occupational Therapy Programme
Art and Music sessions
Outside play
Exercise and yoga in the school’s gym
Skill- training (vocational)
Meals and snacks offered by the school
And many other small integrated exercises to suit the individualized needs of our students.
