OB Law is an incorporated legal practice established in 2016 to provide legal services to select corporate and pro bono clients. Peter Velez is the solicitor director of OB Law. Peter is a corporate lawyer with 30 years’ experience specialising in equity capital markets, mergers and acquisitions and funds management. Peter has also advised extensively on activist corporate activity, ASX compliance and corporate governance. Peter has been a practising lawyer since 1989 having worked at then national firm Freehill Hollingdale and Page and at Sydney boutique corporate firm Watson Mangioni from 1995 to 2016. He played a key role in the development of externally-managed listed investment companies having been involved in the IPO of over 25 LICs since 1999. OB Law frequently partners with larger firms to ensure clients receive access to the resources and specialist skills as well as the expertise of an experienced practitioner. Peter is currently an independent director of Sandon Capital Investments Limited, CBG Capital Limited and the Wilson Foundation.
