What inspired an art historian and a designer-developer to found Objects and Order? We wanted to help museums, curators, and collectors manage objects, organize projects, and create digital content in one flexible space.
Legacy collections management systems were designed for entering standard data into standard fields, but there’s so much knowledge, activity, and history created around objects that doesn’t *fit* in a traditional CMS. So teams turn to unsatisfactory workarounds like spreadsheets and shared docs, and departmental contributions are siloed or lost.
