The company was started by Mrs. Jessica Han in the ’90s. She moved here from China, leaving behind family and friends. She settled in Bloemfontein where she opened her first clothing store. This enabled her to open a few other stores before being introduced to the Property market in 2005.
Everything Mrs. Han knows, she had to learn from trial and error and this is what contributed to her success. Today she is running a successful property company while also being involved with other non-profit organizations.
She started her career in property by investing in the Xavier Junction, and Ormonde Shopping Centre while acquiring properties all over Gauteng and the Western Cape. What initially started as a commercial leasing company evolved into a very successful business, specializing in both commercial, retail, and residential leasing and selling.
The Group of companies, known as Ocean Echo Properties, currently owns over 20 properties consisting of shopping centres, office blocks, and residential property. This makes us one of the market leaders in our field.
