OCEAN FLAGSHIPS

OCEAN FLAGSHIPS is a non-profit NGO with a mission to make the ocean a central part of the green transition. The organization was founded by passionate and visionary entrepreneurs, investors, and experts with extensive experience in developing, scaling, and investing in sustainable solutions. OCEAN FLAGSHIPS’ headquarters will serve as a test platform and sailing innovation hub for ocean technology and sustainable maritime solutions. OCEAN FLAGSHIPS envisions the creation of a global fleet and network of Flagships for the blue transition. Both as a physical platform for activities and as a strategic catalyst for action and outreach. OCEAN FLAGSHIPS is already acknowledged as a national innovation hub and plays a central role in developing the maritime and ocean-related startup ecosystem in Denmark. We promote a solution-oriented approach to the rising climate crisis we are all facing. The ocean holds the key to the green transition: it absorbs far more CO₂ than forests and produces up to 80% of the planet’s oxygen. There is an urgent need for solutions that are both environmentally and economically sustainable. By supporting the development and strengthening the framework for sustainable ocean technologies and maritime solutions, OCEAN FLAGSHIPS believes that the ocean can become a central part of the green transition – and a sustainable future.
