Ocean Engineering Exhibition and Competition (OCEANO)

Maritime is a necessity for Indonesia that has abundant wealth in marine resources. In gaining success within the maritime sector, sustainable development is needed to improve the economy and sustain the marine ecosystem. Besides development, technology innovation is inevitable in advancement of the maritime sector. We cannot deny that there are some challenges within the bureaucracy and the people. Insights development and application of maritime technology are needed to explore the resources of the ocean with eco-friendly creative innovations. In this case, students as the nation's pioneers shall be able to shift peoples' paradigm into the nation's vision of maritime; and be the originators of technology innovation to reignite Indonesia's martime glory. The Department of Ocean Engineering as a part of Faculty of Marine Technology Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology, intends to hold series of events relating to the maritime sector. These events is named Ocean Engineering Exhibition and Competition (OCEANO) 2019. The events will include competitions, seminar and community activities. We are hopeful that these events would stimulate the people's desire to reach the glory in maritime sector. By that, the success of these events will be the success of all people for Indonesia's maritime.
