The Office of the Commissioner of Lobbying enhances transparency and ethical lobbying of federal government officials in Canada. We support the Commissioner, an independent Agent of Parliament, in administering the 𝘓𝘰𝘣𝘣𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘈𝘤𝘵 and the 𝘓𝘰𝘣𝘣𝘺𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘴' 𝘊𝘰𝘥𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘵. Our responsibilities include: ✔️ maintaining and enhancing the Registry of Lobbyists, a searchable registry of information filed as required by the 𝘓𝘰𝘣𝘣𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘈𝘤𝘵 ✔️ increasing awareness and understanding of federally regulated lobbying and compliance obligations through education ✔️ verifying that registrants, lobbyists and former federal designated officials comply with their obligations; and ✔️ conducting investigations when necessary, so that the Act and the Code are respected. Nos responsabilités comprennent : ✔️ l’entretien et l’amélioration du Registre des lobbyistes, un registre des renseignements déposés conformément à la 𝘓𝘰𝘪 𝘴𝘶𝘳 𝘭𝘦 𝘭𝘰𝘣𝘣𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨 ✔️ accroître la sensibilisation et la compréhension du régime du lobbying et des obligations de conformité réglementées par l’éducation ✔️ vérifier que les déclarants, les lobbyistes et les anciens fonctionnaires fédéraux désignés se conforment à leurs obligations; et ✔️ mener des enquêtes au besoin pour assurer le respect de la Loi et du Code.
