Octo Plumbing Ltd was founded in 1982 by six plumbing wholesalers in the province of Quebec. In 2002, the name changed to Octo Purchasing Group to better reflect the changes within the group.
Our membership currently includes over 75 members, representing more than 2,500 operating outlets across Canada in a wide range of market sectors. Since its debut, membership sales have consistently increased, reflecting sustained growth and market penetration.
The key to our success has been through diversification into additional market segments: Plumbing, HVAC, Retail, Refrigeration (HVACR), Industrial (PVF), Waterworks, Pumps, Fire Protection, Hardware, Industrial-Safety, and Paint.
Originally allied with 30 suppliers, the number has grown to over 500 and continues to rise.
The collective experience of the Octo Purchasing Group has positioned us well in an ever-evolving market. Octo is represented by an elected board of directors. Its representation is both geographical and segmented by market to address all issues and concerns.
