Onno Hansum begon in 2009 Octonet met als doel films te maken met inhoud. De boodschap van de klant moet op professionele en geloofwaardige manier in beeld worden gebracht. Hiervoor zocht hij een team waarbij tijdens de opname altijd een cameraman aanwezig is met een regisseur/verslaggever. Ook bij de montage schuift de verslaggever aan naast de editor.
Eigenaar Onno Hansum (1962) heeft nationale- en internationale ervaring als televisie- en radiomaker. Zo werkte hij sinds 1987 als professioneel journalist o.a. voor NOS Studio Sport, Langs de Lijn, Eurosport, De Telegraaf en RTV Rijnmond.
Op dit moment is hij vooral actief als commentator/verslaggever bij Eredivisie en internationale wedstrijden voor de zender FOXsports.
