OculoTherapy was founded by Dr. Monica Jablonski at the Hamilton Eye Institute, University of Tennessee Health Science Center, based on fundamental breakthroughs from her genetics-based research of eye diseases, including glaucoma and aged-related macular degeneration (AMD). These discoveries have documented new mechanisms involved in multiple eye diseases, and in turn, have allowed OculoTherapy to subsequently develop novel, targeted treatments and unique delivery systems that obviate limitations of current treatments for various blinding disorders.
