The Tim Hortons Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival is a not for profit event founded in 1993 hosting it’s first festival in 1994. The festival is a multi-day celebration of the arts, sports, culture and heritage and is North America's largest dragon boating event with over 200 teams in corporate, community and competitive categories. The festival offers free admission to concerts, a family fun zone, non-stop racing and so much more. www.dragonboat.net
The BeaverTails Ottawa Ice Dragon Boat Festival: An official partner of Winterlude, the BeaverTails Ottawa Ice Dragon Boat Festival is the largest ice dragon boat race in the world. The event provides a unique experience that honours the roots of dragon boating and combines it with Canadian winter sport culture.
The Festival was awarded the 2018 Ottawa Tourism Award for New Company of the Year and hosted the 1st IIDBF World Club Crew Ice Dragon Boat Championships in 2019 and the 2020 IIDBF World Ice Dragon Boat Championships. www.icedragonboat.ca
