Old Dominion University's EMSE graduates are successful because they gain the skills, knowledge, and abilities required to design and manage technology-based, project-driven enterprises. Our programs provide students with learning opportunities in the way that best suits their needs, whether in the classroom, online, or even via CD-ROM for the military community. Along with our industrial partners, our students gain confidence and experience to effectively create, integrate, and apply technology in enterprise operations. Fundamentally, engineering management addresses the problems, design, and management of projects and complex operations. The programs are grounded in solid principles of systems science and systems engineering while utilizing the tools of management science and project management. Engineering managers may work in many areas including Product Development, Manufacturing, Construction, Design Engineering, Industrial Engineering Technology, Human Systems Engineering.
