Off Your Shoulders was born out of recognising the reality that we hold emotional experiences in our bodies - our emotional experiences are not separate from our bodies. When you are suffocated with a secret that you've carried for too long, relationships offer you a space to get it off your chest. When you have a non-stop chatter in your head and it's not letting you sleep at night, relationships offer you a space to get it off your mind. When you are burdened with life's endless load, relationships offer you a space to space to get it off your shoulders. I am a practising psychotherapist (MA in Clinical & Counselling Psychology, TISS 2022). I am trained and experienced in a variety of therapeutic modalities but I take an eclectic approach to cater to each unique client. What I never misalign from, though, is these two truths: #1. We experience emotional pain and joy in our bodies as physical sensations #2. Relationships are the antidotes to suffering and the enhancers of individual pleasure.
