Meenakshi Mission Hospital and Research Centre (MMHRC) is a mission hospital and one of the major healthcare providers based in the South Indian city of Madurai, Tamil Nadu. The hospital, which is managed by S.R. Trust is a multi-specialty healthcare centre that mainly serves the southern districts of Tamil Nadu, especially in and around Madurai. S.R. Trust is a non-profit organization registered under the Indian Trust Act ( May 9, 1985). Founded in 1990 by Dr. S. Sethuraman, who is also the Chairman, the hospital has treated over 8,00,000 patients so far. Meenakshi Mission Hospital and Research Centre is also known as MMHRC by the people of the region and surrounding districts. The hospital has over 800 beds and a staff of over 5000 medical, non-medical, technical and service staff.
