About OFTTech Ltd
OFTTech Ltd specialised in the design and supply of high speed rotors with oil-free or oil injected bearings for energy efficient turbo-machinery, specialising in gas lubricated spiral grooved hydro dynamic bearings. OFTTech also provided a wide range of services for the calculation, design and prototype manufacture of high speed permanent magnet rotors using oil-free air or gas lubricated bearings as well as for conventional ball bearings including hybrid ceramic types. Applications included turbo compressors and expanders with alternators or motors using air, process gas and refrigerants (r134, r245fa) as lubricants. With over 30 years' experience and many successful applications and patents, OFTTech provided unique capabilities. Recent gas bearing projects include the supply of circulators using gas lubricated spiral grooved bearings to ILL, Institute Laue-Langevin, Grenoble, the ESS European Spallation Source in Sweden, and ESA for satellite cryogenic systems.
