Founded in 1991 under the leadership of Governor Walters, who believed aggressive economic development required private-sector funding, the Oklahoma Business Roundtable (OBR) is the state’s only organization solely focused on supporting economic growth through strategic private investment. In close partnership with the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and Oklahoma Department of Commerce, OBR helps drive new business investment, grow key industries, and elevate Oklahoma’s national and global economic presence.
