Okiri is a program under Soulevement that empowers children and youth aged 12–18 who are in conflict with the law to realize their potential for growth, healing, and transformation.
Through restorative arts-based approaches, psychosocial support, mentorship, and community reintegration efforts, Okiri supports these young people to reimagine their futures and break cycles of stigma, exclusion, and criminalization.
We work closely with juvenile remand homes, caregivers, and community partners to create a nurturing environment that promotes rehabilitation and hope.
We focus on equipping the children with practical skills and marketable talents to improve their livelihoods and foster personal development. By collaborating with families, skilled individuals, and key stakeholders, we prepare these children for a smooth reintegration into society.
We envision a society where the children become confident, capable, and contributing members, ready to thrive within their communities.
