Oklahoma Boys State

The Oklahoma Boys State program, established in 1938, remains among the most respected youth leadership programs for high school students. Each year, Oklahoma Boys State hosts a one-week in-residence program that educates and mentors hundreds of high school students about government, leadership, and citizenship while inspiring them to serve their communities and country. The core component of Oklahoma's Boys State program is Government in Action – a week-long simulation where delegates run for office, elect government officials, pass legislation, argue in court, and solve state problems in a mock format that gives delegates a taste of public service responsibilities and challenges.
