OLLI at UC Berkeley (Osher Lifelong Learning Institute)

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at UC Berkeley is a learning community of more than 2,500 inquisitive adults, ages 50 and up, with a passion for exploration, engagement and connection. Having fun, too. From courses and speaker events, to field trips and meetups, our members come together to learn and grow together — delighting in the ongoing discovery of new knowledge and deeper ways of understanding the world, and themselves. We offer four academic terms per year — fall, winter, spring and summer — and dedicate months to curating each one. We strive to shine a light on a diverse range of voices and subjects, from international documentary filmmaking to the state of political discourse. Our members enjoy exclusive access to a vast array of online and in-person courses, including deep dives into history, politics, literature, music, current affairs, and more — all taught by Cal faculty and other distinguished scholars. No UC Berkeley affiliation needed. Just curiosity and a love of learning. We were established in 2007 with generous support from the Bernard Osher Foundation and are one of 125 Osher Lifelong Learning Institutes across the country.
