Our research utilizes hypervalent iodine reagents to discover new reactivity in synthetic organic chemistry. We develop sustainable synthetic methodology with focus on high selectivity, mild conditions and minimized waste, avoiding toxic reagents and scarce transition metals.
Recently, the group initiated a new research line merging mechanochemistry and hypervalent iodine chemistry, which allows new reaction pathways and further limits waste formation.
