By prioritizing culturally appropriate preventative care and supporting innovative approaches, we aim to improve birth outcomes for mothers and babies everywhere. Olomo Lo L'aye offers membership to those who share our vision. Members gain access to exclusive opportunities and resources, including Traditional Midwifery trainings facilitated by Agbebi from Osogbo, Osun State, Nigeria. The important initiatives and programs we offer to the community are: The Rebirth Birth Initiative: An innovative health equity program focused on improving birth outcomes through community-based doula support and culturally competent care at local hospitals and clinics. Repair and Reconnect: A cultural exchange that brings together healthcare professionals, traditional birth workers, and community members to cultivate a deeper understanding for one another and engage in meaningful dialogue. This program aims to empower communities by providing them with the tools and resources to revitalize and practice their traditional birth practices. Ìyá ni wúrà Initiative: creating a supportive environment for traditional birth practices by establishing culturally affirming "grandmother support spaces", and cutting edge "traditional" birthing centers internationally. Ìyèniyun Program: Olomo Lo L'aye restores and repairs traditional birth practices through our specialized training and mentorship opportunities with the Agbẹ̀bí (traditional midwives) By working together and thinking long-term, we can build a legacy of excellence in maternal care that ensures the best possible outcomes for all.
