Telling stories is a matter of heart for us and means being allowed to make a difference in people’s lives. Oma Inge Film was founded in 2015 by Frauke Kolbmüller in Hamburg, and expanded in 2022 to Leipzig with producer Jana Lotze. Oma Inge offers a home to regional and international filmmakers. A place where they can develop and live their signature. Together, we create the suitable format for their captivating and outstanding stories. Oma Inge, translated as “Grandma Inge”, stands for deep trust, individuality and familial solidarity.
Besides German projects, we also work on European, Latin American, East and South East Asian productions. We produce feature films and documentaries as well as series - arthouse and grand cinema. It's about being brave and overcoming boundaries.
Our producers are members of the German Producers Association, the European Film Academy, the German Film Academy and graduates of various workshops and labs such as Rotterdam Lab, EAVE Ties That Bind, VGF Scholarship.
