Omar Momani

Omar Momani is a cartoonist and animator. Best known for his sport editorial cartoons for Goal, Bleacher Report, Fox Sports, The Bundesliga and more. Momani started his animation career at Abu Mahjoob studio in Jordan in 2005, and had the chance to work with the famous Jordanian cartoonist Emad Hajjaj. Along with the team, Momani worked on an animated show for the Jordanian TV and it was nominated for best foreign animated series award in Annecy Animation Festival in 2006. Later on, Momani was the animation team leader for the Emirati animated show Shaabia Al Cartoon شعبية الكرتون, Worked on 4 seasons from 2007 to 2010. At 2010, Momani decided to draw editorial sport cartoons, which it attracted the football news website Goal, where Momani started to publish his cartoons since then. This led to collaborate with other sport platforms, such as the Bundesliga, Sporting News, the Arabian Gulf League, Al Arabi Al Jadeed newspaper and others. Momani was nominated three times by the Football Blogging Awards for the Best International Football Blog in 2016,2018 and 2019. Momani was chosen as the 5th of the top animators to follow on Twitter by Pixel77 and Creative Bloq.
