DB Schenker’s On-Demand Production service is offering an Additive Manufacturing (3D-printing) based digital warehouse solution to produce spare parts on-demand worldwide. This service includes the identification and engineering of additive manufactured parts. Once the applications are developed, they are stored in a digital warehouse with all relevant technical and commercial data. From this platform they can be ordered from a worldwide Additive Manufacturing supply chain. For the service On-Demand Production is combining the knowledge of DB Schenker in handling supply chains & warehouses with years of technical Additive Manufacturing experience at their mother company Deutsche Bahn.
